What is your personal mission when it comes to how you improve educational opportunities for your students?

I believe that students cannot learn and grow unless they feel loved. I think it is paramount that our classroom is a place where my students feel valued, and special. In order to improve educational opportunities for my students, I will hold all of my students to high expectations and inspire them to be the best versions of themselves. I will encourage them to persevere and reach their fullest potential regardless of their current circumstances. I can take time to understand my own cultural positionality and become more conscious of issues related to equity so that I can make a significant difference in their lives.

I have invested my award money.
